Two SMPN 3 Sindang Students Reach Finals of the 2025 Wiralodra University National English Olympiad (WEC)

Indramayu, aswnnews.com — A proud achievement was once again made by students of SMPN 3 Sindang in the prestigious Wiralodra English Competition (WEC) 2025, a National English Olympiad organized by Wiralodra University Indramayu on May 18, 2025. Out of hundreds of participants from various regions across West Java, two representatives from SMPN 3 Sindang successfully advanced to the finals and were ranked among the top ten./May 19, 2025

They are Daanish Zahraa, who secured 2nd place, and Alena Ahyaa Shakilla Giarda, who placed 6th. These two outstanding students were part of a team of three delegates sent by SMPN 3 Sindang to compete in the event, which awarded trophies and cash prizes to the top three winners.

Their success could not have been achieved without the dedicated guidance of their English Olympiad coaches, Nur Puspa Legita, S.Pd., and Sanusi, S.Pd., who consistently mentored and prepared the students from the initial selection phase to the final round.

Daanish Zahraa, who is also the 1st Place Winner of the 2025 Indramayu Regency English Olympiad (OSN), expressed her gratitude for this accomplishment. “Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful to make it to the final round. This has given me new motivation to keep striving and win in the next round,” she said enthusiastically.

The principal of SMPN 3 Sindang, Hj. Ani Hanifah, S.Pd., M.Pd., also expressed her full appreciation and support for the finalists. “We are deeply honored and proud of this achievement. It is proof that hard work, the spirit of learning, and support from all parties yield results. SMPN 3 Sindang will continue to support every step of our students in achieving higher accomplishments,” she stated.

With high spirits and full support from the school, families, and mentors, Daanish and Alena are now preparing to face the final round, aiming to bring pride to their school, their region, and to serve as an inspiration to their peers. May their journey to the winner’s podium be crowned with success.
